A few years ago, while i was still in college, I was laying down to get a good night’s sleep for a helluva class-load the next day when i remembered, “Oh crap! I’ve got a 20+ page research paper on the differences between Christianity and Mormonism due the next day and i haven’t even started yet!” So i got straight up and started typing, driven by adrenaline until about 5am, when i had to take a break and get an extra strong chai from Starbucks. Then i went all over the city do the best i could to collect data from Christian and Mormon bookstores. Then i went back home and got back to typing my haphazard findings. After another extra strong chai and a few skipped classes i had typed over thirty pages. Then i found out that the professor had given into the majority of the class, who hadn’t finished the paper either, by postponing the due date for the paper. Dang. I was relieved at least to have gotten it done early.

Starbucks. Brings back memories. I used to literally live off of Starbucks Chai. Two Venti six-pump no water chais would get me through till the late afternoon, then i might eat something.
At a mall.
Will the Starbucks empire survive?
