I ventured into Bruegger’s again the other day, needing to fill up quickly and get back to work. I walked through the door and noticed that there was no one in line, to my relief. I walked up to the counter to where one of three people were working. The one that was working said, “be right with you,” cheerfully, while the other two walked around to the back, out of sight. I waited for the poor guy to finish what he was doing, then he got my simple coffee, ran my card and I was out of there. The sad thing is that this does not surprise me.
