Coffee prevents skin cancer?

According to this article by Yahoo, coffee may prevent the development of skin cancer by “deleting” the damaged cells that lead to cancerous tissue. Caffeine might also be a wise additive for sunscreens since it not only blocks UV rays, but also clears out cells that have already been damaged by the sun’s rays. So it works for your skin’s benefit inside-out and outside-in.
This reminds me of other health benefits I’ve heard of being linked to coffee such as the prevention of diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, which researchers link to the caffeine, antioxidants and other chemical goodies that this tasty beverage contains.
