Steve’s Espresso is located across the street from the Target on McClintock and Baseline, next to an Indian food restaurant.
I had the Sumatra; the wife had a cherry-almond Italian soda which she said (and I agreed) was very good. Their Sumatra was also quite good — balanced, yet with a touch of zing.
The barista working at the time I went in said that Steve buys his coffee from a local roaster called Expressions, located in Scottsdale, AZ. I did a brief search to see if I could find that business but I could not find it. Feel free to fill me in if anyone knows better.

Interesting fact about Steve’s Espresso: They use French press for all their regular coffee. This is the first time I have ever heard of a coffee joint doing this.
As you might imagine, they need extra large French presses:
The condiment bar.
The patio.
The espresso bar. They use Monin brand syrups.
