Dunkin’ Donuts and Homes for Our Troops

April 2nd, 2009 · No Comments · Coffee News, Coffee With a Cause

Dunkin’ Donuts has announced April 21 as “Iced Coffee Day,” a one-day event when stores throughout the country will sell small iced coffees for the reduced price of 50 cents. Five cents from each cup sold will go to Homes for Our Troops, a national, non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.

Dunkin’ Donuts today also launched a nationwide call to recruit one million new volunteers to support Homes for Our Troops’ efforts. The first 200 people to sign up as volunteers will receive free Dunkin’ coffee for one month.

Our troops, whether active or retired, deserve our support. All of us Americans benefit from their sacrifices whether or not we are always aware of this fact. Show your support by either buying an iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts on April 21st or find out what else you can do by contacting Homes for Our Troops (HomesForOurTroops.org).
