The wife and I stopped by Einstein’s Bagels as part of our fabulous, relaxing Saturday off. I ordered my coffee hot, she ordered hers cold.
I tried the Sumatra blend, which was, as I would expect from Einsteins, a ’10′ on the drinkability scale. Low acidity, a bit bolder than their fabulous House Blend. This kept in good shape for most of the day.
Another good thing about Einstein’s (besides their top notch coffee, which also comes with free refills) is their food — fresh fruit, just-squeezed OJ and lemonade and, of course, pastries and bagels that are made right there.
The above picture was taken at the Einstein’s that is kitty-corner from ASU campus, Cornerstone Plaza (hence the large sideways cube). Great place to hang out and study. Watch out though, they close relatively early (mid-evening).
I guess TRADITIONALLY the Cafe Market has always tapped the morning crowd. Unless the traffic of people hit a certain average extending store hours past 9 pm could cost you. People who drink coffee to stay up during that time, Stay there longer than necessary.
what a fun site, as a coffee addict this is great!
I forgot all about Einstein Bros. I used to get their coffee on a regular basis when there was one on my way to work. I think, I’ll have to stop by again to try out their coffee and of course get one of their bagels.
I used to part time at Einstein Bros in my college years and its always packed during early morning and lunch time…I mean seriously lines! That was during economic boom…
Their coffee choices are abundant and not bad either!
I think a lot of coke heads are now calling themselves “coffee fiends.”
Oh I so love your blog…..

I have been to that Einstein Bros.. the best part is the bagels.. especially the poppyseed variety!
@Kansas Bob, i also dig the poppy seed
Interesting. My friend and I used to meet daily for coffee, and after tiring of Starbucks, we tried Einstein Bagel one morning. It may have just been that particular location (Tampa, FL), but it just felt like they had no investment in their customers. The coffee was good, but it didn’t have the atmosphere that the Starbucks across the street did.
Solution? We’d buy Einstein coffee, pour it into a Starbucks travel mug, and sit across the street at Starbucks. We thought we were brilliant.
@Nathanael, pretty clever… goes to show ya, franchises (and the like) should be careful about who they hire, these baristas represent all of Starbucks or Einstein’s
