Starbucks and Pepsi have already worked together to bring us a “luxury, ready to drink” coffee — the canned iced coffee. Well, now it’s Illy’s (and Coca Cola’s) turn.
Like most industries, when you the yearly sales of ready-to-drink coffees adds up to a few billion dollars’ worth worldwide. Thus, Illy would like a piece of that action — at least one or two billion, hopefully in the near future.
Other ready-to-drink coffees that have been out for a while now include Starbucks’ Frappuccino (a joint venture with Pepsi) and Godiva’s Belgian Blends (bottled coffee, a joint venture with Coca Cola).
