Starbucks Lays Claim to Its 50th Country: Poland

April 8th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Coffee News, Poland

Today Poland got it’s first Starbucks ever. My first reaction to this news was, “Poland just got it’s first Starbucks? ‘Bout time!”

At long last all the teenagers of Poland will be able to fuel up on Caramel Frappuccinos before they set up camp at their local malls. Finally, Polish university students will have someplace to sit for hours while they sip on chai and tinker with their theses. And Polish business people will have someplace to go before work to wait in line for that Venti soy mocha latte without whip (to which they are now hopelessly addicted).

Interesting factoid: Poland is the 50th country to which Starbucks has laid claim. Cheers!

Do you think there were no cafes in Poland before Starbucks?
Actually I think there are many better places to go than Starbucks. Starbucks is the McDonald’s equivalent in the world of cafes – both suck.
