-Sugar rots your teeth.

- Drinking a hot beverage makes you feel full and keeps you from eating too much.

I'm a redhead who takes her coffee blond, but I use real half and half and no sugar. I get the impression that I drink less coffee than a lot of folks around here (and only decaf) so I'm not worried about the cream.

I'll give lackluster an amen. I started going black when I was buying more half and half than milk. Taking sugar into account, I knew that the implications for my waistline were not good.

black coffee is also lower maintenance in general, no fridge or anything needed for milk, etc; only two ingredients: water and coffee

I wish I had started drinking black coffee earlier in life, but I never realized that if I needed to put sugar and cream in it, it wasn't good coffee.
