Classification: Light roast
Flavor: Mild and even.
Acidity: Low.
Observation: The beans (pre-ground) are somewhat aged at this point, judging by the vague stale tinge… but this is more or less unavoidable since this is pre-ground coffee packaged for mass consumption.
Wolfgang Puck’s Tuscan Breakfast blend is what I call a “clear headed” coffee. After downing two cups of this pleasant brew, I had an extremely productive as well as optimistic day.
Found it hidden in Walmart’s coffee section for $6.00.
One negative thing: They closed the top of the bag with what seemed like super glue. I literally tried to pry it open with pliers (one in each hand) but ended up tearing up the bag. I ended up having to cut the whole top of the bag off, so now it’s a pain to keep closed. Other than that (ongoing) annoyance, an overall good experience.
I give Wolfgang Puck’s Tuscan Breakfast Blend a solid “B.”
I’ve seen his coffee around, the food in his restaurants are great so I always wonder what it would taste like.
I like how you call it “clear headed” coffee. I think I need something like that this morning.
I totally agree with Mike’s comments, but I was even lucky’r then Mike, I found mine at Biglots for 4.00 a bag!
P.S. A Great coffee, and a wonderful start to my day.
