Last Memorial Day Starbucks accidentally double charged all their customers (who were already paying way too much for their coffee). In response (now that someone noticed) they are in the process of refunding the erroneously withdrawn funds.
Starbucks really didn’t need the bad press, but that’s the way it is when you’re on top — everyone is going to report on every little thing you do wrong. Still, in light of the financial meltdown and all, this was definitely bad timing.
