Two good things are happening for me right now: 1. I have the day off and 2. I am trying out Java City’s Santa Anita De Costa Rica for the first time.
It seems like I’ve been running into a lot of flat coffee lately — I mean, coffee with no personality or flavor. Then again, most days I don’t require that my coffee be anything more than a caffeinated beverage. But Santa Anita De Costa Rica is not flat at all (to say the least) — it is an injection of flavorful personality, with a touch of spice. Whoever roasted these particular beans evidently set out to create a great Central American blend — and they succeeded. It finishes with a clean, bright finish as well. I recommend.
As you probably gathered from the title, Santa Anita De Costa Rica is a “responsible” coffee, or one that conciders the wellbeing of coffee growers and the environment. Some of their key points are relationships with the growers and long term environmental sustainability.
