Coffee Nomad

I got a particularly stale bag of Walmart House Blend the other day (pre-ground of course).  Around the same time I purchased a particularly chocolaty bag of Christopher Bean’s Jamaica Me Crazy blend.  I suspect the Walmart coffee has been sitting on the shelf awhile.

I don’t mind drinking somewhat old, stale coffee because I can’t afford to waste, but why not strike a balance with the help of my good friend, Mr. Bean?  So I went halvsies with both of these coffees this morning, hoping to redeem the excesses that might discourage me from drinking each one by itself.  The result: A really chocolaty, stale coffee.

It’s drinkable but, as you might have already guessed, not all that good.

I’m looking forward to getting the Walmart coffee over with at this point… I’m actually surprised at how old and dry this House blend ended up being since I’ve had so many good experiences with “Sam’s Choice” in the past.  I’ll probably buy a lot less of the Walmart brand coffee from now on.  At this moment, I miss my other good friend, Mr. Peet.
